The Puttu and Kadala.
Puttu : Steamed fine rice flour with coconut scrapes and some times spice.
Steamed on Hollow Bamboo trunks and then Pushed out as a Puttu Stick (called Kutti).
Kadala Curry: Brown grams,Channa i guess i got the name correct.
Now some suggested Combis with puttu:
The slightly sour plantain palenkodan variety of it. pulped and mixed with Puttu.
Honey with Puttu.
Very Small red onions (not sure of the exact name)
Milk tea to soak slightly and wet the Puttu with sugar optional.

Fish curry
Beef curry or Beef masala fry
Papad boiled?? (kachiyathu) in oil crushd with hand and mixed with puttu.
Squid pickle or any spicy touch on with this is amazing.

Karimeen - The King among Kerala's Fishes
This is a must try even if you are just passing by Kerala.Pearlspot(Karimeen) fry is a real special and what is peculiar is that this fish grows in the lakes and backwaters of Kerala and it tastes awesome and fleshy and juicy. This time too once in Kerala for my vacations Mom and Dad made it sur that Karimeen was there for the dishes. I fact this is a fish we all missed while we were in Mumbai or Bangalore. Each area of Kerala has its own special tastes for the Karimeens (i mean quality differs from lake to lake or from back ater to back water.)Also another amazing preparation of this fish is the Pollichathu of Karimeen wrapped in banana leaves and grilled.
In case you are in cochin, a reccomended kerala lunch at The Grand Hotel with a Karimeen pollichathu will give you some of the best falvours of Kerala.Mind it the lunch costs about 150 Ruppes but worth it!
Some more of the preparations:
The Karimeen Curry,Fish molly with Karimeen and the specail Karimeen thala (head of the Karimeen fired)!
Check it out!!

The best of European

Wow! The service was great and as recommended by the Boy at the restaurant, i opted for the grilled Lamb Ribs with red chilli and sauce, salad and fried Potatoes.
With white wine to sharpen the flavour.

The service is really good and addds falvour to the time spent.
This dish is beyond words and be ready to fight the ribs with the cutlery.High fist power and at times you may need to give in and use your hand. Its worth a bite that way. I bet you would get totally indulged. Its tiring but its a memorable experience.
